No, Opa didn't arrive in this car. This is Tony's Corvette which he drove to Wilno one evening to have some supper at our restaurant while Caroline and Diana continue to shop for the wedding. Diana is getting married on Aug 4 with a big reception planned at Tony's house on Lake Dore. We'll be putting pictures here later.

Ome Mies and Opa are patiently waiting for Oma and Tante Sjaan.

A week later, Tante Sjaan and Ome Mies came for a visit from London. They came to our restaurant to have some supper on the Sunday evening. Here's Oma and Tante Sjaan looking in the gift shop.

Here's a little afternoon visit by the first great grandchild for Oma and Opa.

Kaydence likes to come down for a little visit with Oma and Opa.

This is Kirk, Tony's oldest son, with his daughter Kaydence. They've just come down on the four-wheeler to visit Oma and Opa. Oma's peonies are blooming beautifully. Kirk lives just up the road in a house he built himself (with help from his uncles and father, of course).
Another round bale goes into the barn on a beautiful June afternoon. Bert is driving the tractor...Martien is off doing the foundation for his new house on the golf course. Mary is renovating her house in Eganville, Joanne is getting ready for summer in her cafe and inn, Tony is building a house in Lake Dore, Chris still works for the military and Henriette is busy with her many cleaning projects.

Opa still likes to supervise the haying....although with the round bales it all seems to go so quickly and easily compared to the days when we had to throw the small bales into the loft and then pile it in the summer heat. Now the tractor does all the work. (Bert would probably disagree as he still has to work fairly hard to get it all done.)

It's summer time at Oma and Opa's farm near Eganville. The boys are bringing in hay and the weather this June is really hot...several days of temperatures above thirty degrees.
